I am a CS PhD student and a research assistant at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am a member of the Intelligent Assistive Machines (IAM) Lab and the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). Under the supervision of Dr. Hernisa Kacorri I do research at the intersection of AI and Accessibility. My current research is about how non-expert users interact with AI, and how these interactions (e.g. training a machine learning model) can be made more effective. Prior to this, I was a research assistant at the Center for Advanced Transportation Technology (CATT) where I worked on design and development of technologies involving navigation for blind users.

Before joining the PhD program at UMD, I spent a semester as an HCI master student at the Polytechnic University of Madrid where I did several HCI related projects and courses. I recieved my Bachelors degree from Amirkabir University of Technology in Computer Engineering.
